The Rangers got played. At some point you have to realize no team is giving in to your demands and get SOMETHING for Lynn.

Lynn has another year, so they didn't need to rush if they didn't like the offers.

But this is pretty much his peak value. I doubt he’s going to have another “sub-2 ERA at the trade deadline” season.

If this is it, happy with the moves. We improved and solved needs, while our competition didn't.
9/10 happy.
Absolutely love the Ray deal, he's a legit pitcher that we got for peanuts. That's a huge win.

Villar is also a great add, though the cost was high.

We did very well and gave up hardly anything.

Adding Walker, Ray and Villar for Conine, Bergen and another depth prospect is a great deal.

I know most guys need to go through covid things when traded, but is it realistic for Villar to play tomorrow?

We play the Marlins in Miami tomorrow night.

I haven’t seen a “Jays are done for the day” but I feel like we’re done for the day.

Happy with the deadline. Added some pitching depth. I think Walker will be big for us, and we’ll see what Pete can do with Robbie Ray.

I figured we’d go with someone like Simmons over Villar, but still some needed depth

Think a lot of people in here were talking about acquiring him during the offseason, interested to see what the return is

Saw a tweet earlier today that said the Jays acquired literally the worst starting pitcher this year(Ray), so I went through fangraphs to see how many were worse(a lot). Ross Stripling's name was in there.

Atkins couldn't pass up the opportunity to trade for someone named Ross.

2 more years of control, interesting to see what the traded away.

Lol critics (hfboard posters) are never happy.

dunno what you guys wanted/expected. And I can only imagine what little you expected us to give back.

Been brutal this year, but in the rest of his career was a very fine starter and an all-star not too long ago.

Never had a FIP north of 3.90 prior to this year. I imagine they got him cheap, and has team control.

Wow, I'm really happy about Stripling.

Never a spot consistently for him on the Dodgers rotation really, and he's had some HR issues this year.... but he's been fantastic as recently as last year.

2 more years of control too and no top prospects/roster player? Huge fan.
