Non-committal. No real issue with either of the pickups; but won’t move the needle one way or another. This isn’t a playoff roster so if you make playoffs- congrats? If you miss, Klingberg walks for nothing.

… because they didn’t get a couple of 3rd round picks for Clutterbuck and Parise? They resigned, at least they didn’t lost them for nothing.

The teams who decided to trade away all their picks for players, but still won’t win the cup are the ones scoring F-.

If our Allstar goalie finds his game....like he has shown, if not - he isn't locked in to anything nor did we sell the farm on someone like Foligno.

I woulda been okay with some reassurance (which Mrazek was for) but, were giving our ALLSTAR goalie some time off to find himself...I actually like him
Adrian Kempe was in the ASG. Playing in the All-Star Game doesn't make you an All Star.

Ah, right, goalies don’t go on cold spells or struggle under injuries ect. Cool story.

Weird how the cold spell is longer than the good stuff. At what point was the start just a hot streak and the career backup turns back into a pumpkin?

NYI : lol
Toronto : Goalies….lol…
Anaheim: Great with Lindholm…not so with Rakell
Colombus….lol..
Vancouver: lol
Wrong. Campbell was real good, the best of toronto in the playoffs last season. Not a problem, but an assett. Mrazek has also won playoff series. These two will only get better. Toronto don't need goalies nore do they WANT ANY OF THEM MORE. Period.
Toronto's giordiano and blackwell bring intensity and charisma. Making them better. Lybucshkin is also a thuggish one. Killer really. Dubas and toronto gets B from me. Period.

Vancouver D. Columbus D. Colorado A-. Florida A. Calgary A-. Calgary and Minnesota are going to be tough monkeys in the west. Minny = A.

Oct 13 to Jan 11 he had 6 games sub-.900%. That was a period of 27 games.

Jan 15 to Mar 8th (when he was shut down over an undisclosed injury) he was sub-.900% in 10 of 13 games.

So last season, the playoffs, and the first 27 games of this season with stellar play vs his last 13.

Yeah, weird. Maybe do some research next time.

Haven't you guys heard? The Leafs are full of chokers and headcases, why on earth would we spend a 1st rounder on a goalie? The odds of Campbell or Mrazek finding their way back to respectability is about as good as the odds of any other rental goalie coming in and playing well. Screw that, it won't matter if Marner starts flipping pucks over the glass again. The entire Atlantic is tooling up for a blood bath, the East as a whole is insane, and there's Colorado coming up the Western side. The Leafs are a darn good team, good enough to win it all, and a stable goalie would really help that. But this Leafs team is nowhere near stable enough to be worth going all-in for. Dubas knows his job is on the line, and frankly I'm glad that he's not spending a 1st rounder in a lame attempt to save it.

As you can see, I'm not thrilled that the Leafs decided to go the rental route, but I will begrudgingly admit that I really like the Gio+Blackwell deal. I'm expecting Giordano to be a really nice fit for the Leafs, and Blackwell is a good depth pickup. That's a decent futures package to give away, but we made it out of the deadline with some good players and all of our top prospects intact, so I'm happy.

Grade: B-
The deals we did make were great. The deals we didn't make might be what kills us, but I think it was the right call to make.

 All you did was slide some of his bad games into the hot streak to pad it out and make it look longer.

October..........0.918
November.....0.959
December......0.909
January...........0.880
February.........0.894
March..............0.845

He's played 40 games. If you split it into 20 and 20 he had 2 below 0.900 in the first half, and 13 below 0.900 in the second half including each of his last 5.

That’s certainly a take.

Part with a first for who? You realize Jack Campbell has better numbers than any goalie who was available right?

There wasn’t a readily available answer, Chicago tried fleecing Doobie for Fleury and he backed out. We have Kallgren and Woll who are both 3-1 with a SO, and hopefully Campbell bounces back from his injury. It is what it is.

But based on the trade he did make, I’ll give Doobie a B, not bad, not great, fair price and an improvement.
Just because Doobie looks like a NERD doesn't mean he is intelligent . He most certainly isnt .
