Secondly - sure we didn't trade a defensemen, but a guy like Tallinder could still become a valuable asset at the draft. Could help to trade up or acquire an extra pick or two.

Just have to cross the fingers and hope that Pete stops shuffling the D around and sticks with something he likes from here until the playoffs. And I'm not going to "if" the playoffs, nope.

There were opportunities to do other trades, but cost was too much in terms of Devils' future.

So, selling one of our 8 defenseman was never even on the table....

Moving anything of value wasn't worth trying to salvage this season IMO. I don't think anything out there would have helped much.

I don't think anyone is pissed we didn't add anything. I think some of us are pissed that we didn't take advantage of the market set for blue liners when considering that Murray got 2nd round picks when knowing our pipeline is bone dry in terms of forwards and would set some type of stability for the remainder of the year and possibly the post season.

Anyways, that's my reasoning behind it all.

Volch Tally bring back anything higher than a 5th,6th. I think his HT, value is much greater at the draft. his value to a young D corps ovr a years is much more than a guy to mplay in the last 11 games. I really se him being moved before the draft, Zid probably will be gone, wouldnt be shocked to see Volch bought out and who knows about PH, Makes room for wehats coming up, This year is lost IMO because we cant beat(99% of the time)both Bos and Pitts. Greater value can be had in the summer
