Carlo, McCabe and Tanev are all Dman who can play first pairing minutes if their partner is Makar, Hughes or Josi or Hedman. As they are all capable of the #2 role.

In a way, I can even see Carlo partners with OEL.

Leafs never have 5 No.2 and No.3 Dmen at the same time.

Carlo at best is a 3 and I’d say Hes a 4 but regardless still a good trade minus minten going out the door
