So many of the Marner/Matthews/Bunting goals come from the fact they are willing. How many goals would be left on the table if they didn't dig like they do?

It's hilarious that people don't think he's willing or effective. Based on Szjnader's count Willy is one of the most effective forecheckers in the league, and he's constantly in the top of the league in takeaways.

Just because he's cerebral and doesn't over-exert himself every minute he plays doesn't mean a) he doesn't care, b) he isn't engaged, c) he's not trying.

Nobody said Willy wasn't a tremendous poke checker. Great winshield wiper guy. Finishes in the bottom of the league in hits. Lybubushkin probably has more hits in his few games than 88 will have for the rest of season including playoffs. That is part of the job. He doesn't like that part. Doesn't mean he's not great at other parts of the job, but that is one that he wants no part of.
