Have you watched any of the games ? The Nylander before the covid shutdown and the Nylander they have now aren’t the same player. Yea he may be putting up points but he’s been floating not moving his feet for almost two months straight.

I watch every game. Even with JT/Nylander visually slumping they've been producing.

Because I'm assuming the Jets would want to move Copp for a pick or a Prospect over a 1 for 1 swap to get locked into the same contract they have now, but for an additional 2 years. They gain no future assets or cap/roster flexibility and tbh.. Kerfoot doesn't exactly fit the style their team plays. I just don't see why they would covet Kerfoot that's all. Maybe I'm wrong, would love to be wrong on that

Copp is a ufa Kerfoot has a year left, he can play this season and help them push for a final spot then if it doesn’t work trade him in the off season

To be fair, that Pacific division isn't great and Calgary has had similar playoff woes as the Leafs.

Would come down to if they thought Kerfoot fits in with their style of play, and if they'd rather have the shopping money to hand-pick their guy in free agency, or lock in to the same contract they already have with Copp, but with Kerfoot for another year. Just don't see why they wouldn't wanna go grab someone of their exact choosing or use the money for anyone who needs re-signed
