Based on my calculations, with Muzzin, Kase, & Sandin on LTIR, an eventual goalie duo of Campbell & Sateri, Duszak & Kivi currently on the main roster, and Clifford and Mrazek in the AHL, we would have 4.436M in cap room.

Upwards of 6M when you put Duszak and Kivi in the AHL, and only have a 20 man roster.

How about this one.....Varlamov, Clutterbuck, and Chara for Mrazek, Kerfoot and Duszak? I probably wouldn't do it, but many would I suspect.....

Varlamov is good, but Kerfoot to Clutterback is a massive downgrade that the Leafs would never consider, and Chara is a #9 here in a healthy lineup.

There were rumours the Leafs had injuries after Saturdays game. Kase is the obvious one, sounds like Sandin is the big one that has been speculated.

It's early of course but it sounds like it's a long-term injury.

IF Mrazek gets claimed, we could activate Muzzin off of LTIR, and still have around 3M in cap space if Kase and Sandin require LTIR, with a 21 man roster.

We could do a lot with that 3M. Other wise, it's a bit tighter.

I imagine our moves today will come after 2pm, and I'm sure Dubas/Pridham have plans in either scenario, whether Mrazek is claimed or not.

If healthy, I think Copp makes sense. Fits exactly what they need. Part of me would love Clutterbuck... dude is a wrecking ball but he's not a good player anymore and Lamoriello is a weird one to deal with.

Not much interest in Domi, Rackell, Garland and Motte after Blackwell being acquired. Pearson is meh. Comtois would be fine but I wouldn't give up much.

This team needs a mean player or two. And Im the one saying this.
