Sorry, can’t laugh at that. I’m going to be slapped out for getting smitten by Hughes’ “cult of personality.”Hughes got some jokes![]()
That was said?So a few things are for sure.
- The Habs will trade Jeff Petry this summer
- The Habs will not retain any salary
- The Habs are not interested in paying a premium for a team to take Petry
It's not a real rebuild though, IMO. I'll believe it when I see it. No way Molson signed off on a rebuild.
Sorry...that wasn't what Hughes said verbatim. That was said?
It’s the league’s laundromat and their home games next season will present a great opportunity to meet coeds. As long as the Coyotes exist...they'll continue to be the NHL dump site for contracts.

I mean... really? The only trade that was really 'rebuild' like was Toffoli. Its not a tear everything down rebuild. But its blindingly obvious its a rebuild with the trades Montreal has made.
They ask if he will need to trade pick to unload some contract and he talk about Petry during his answerDid he say that? I didn't hear it
this did not translate good for me, what does it sayDid he say that? I didn't hear it
Knowledge of Barron’s family via Gorton as Rangers’ GM, was part of the evaluation process that was made about the younger Barron. Hughes mentioned that Barron's good character was an important consideration.Barron's older brother now traded too.
My guess? Arizona, Seattle, Ottawa, maybe Anaheim. Teams who are going to have a hard time reaching the floor.Multiple teams interested in acquiring Weber.
My bet he's gone at the draft

The rest were all just trades that made sense. Bottom-6 RFA who was going to get a lot of money, when we already pay our bottom-6 $900M a year. UFA Defenseman who would have got a big raise, again with cap troubles. Another UFA defenseman who will probably get Top-4 money, but really is better suited as a #5-#6. And the #4 goalie in our system.
Didn't hear that either.Did he say that? I didn't hear it
bingoYou don't trade Lehkonen if the playoffs are the goal in 2023. I'm kind of shocked so many people on here are missing that, but he was literally the only player on this team that didn't get caved in 5 on 5. Its pretty clear what HuGo are doing here.
