Kind of depressing to see the Habs keep on stagnating in mediocrity. Again.

We're definitely among the big losers of the day along with the Predators.

But hey, at least I can be entertained by the few fans in denial who are still waiting for "tHe BiG gEnIous Pl4N" to unfold.

Should happen anytime now. Right?

Why come at this with such hostility?

I think the Habs aren't in a position to compete with all these teams loading up, and our obvious UFA pieces aren't very interesting to other teams.
Maybe he should’ve sold Armia and Savard then?

I can't honestly tell what you want because most of your post is about the supposed bad intentions of others.
Most of my posts? Sure pal.

How someone can compare the Boston situation to Montreal situation is beyond me.

Really surprised with the general reactions in here to be honest.
Really? No surprise on my side. This is HFBoards. Been like this for more than 22 years that I’ve been here.

Start of the season, GM said: we want to have the kids experience what it is to play meaningful games in March. Also mentioned that summer of 2025 will be his most important one.

Yet, here we are.

This board is amazingly good for rapid fire news, insight on prospects and the laughs. If you want rational behaviour, this ain’t it. And it’s fine that way. I’m too old to get riled up. I just enjoy the reads.

Or I get banned from the Demidov thread. :sarcasm:

Verrrry reminiscent of the Bergevin era

“Just wait till summer! He HAS to load up this summer!”

@Miller Time Okay, here's what he said.....word for word in french.

Word for word in french, feel free to translate on your side instead of me doing it and actually taking things out of context to fit a narrative....

I don't think they had a ton of value. It's a literal unknown. My guess is that we were looking at maybe a late 2nd for Savard and a later round pick for Armia.

I can understand Kent valuing keeping the room together and not sending a "selling" message to the room more than those picks.

And I said "post". As in your post I replied to.

Let the whinners crying begin

We've got:

- I'm pissed because they didn't buy
- I'm pissed because they didn't sell
- I'm pissed because they didn't get better
- I'm pissed because they didn't get worse
- I'm pissed because they're mediocre

Like damn, I would have liked to see them sell, but I wonder how many people are really just pissed that they hyped themselves up for nothing today.

We need to take everything we can get, this team is not in a position to lose players for nothing. It's a bad move.
The heavy accumulation phase is done imo. Now is all about building with the cards you have and hope it's enough to get you a cup. Right now, the team culture and experience is more important than 3rd and 4th round picks.
