Surprise surprise.
Trade values on this core have done nothing but plummet this season. They could have got return last off-season after 'collapse #3, what more do you need to see?' but instead, they tried to double-down by going for Gorges and Bolland. That's what you get when management reacts instead of plans, buy high and sell low.

Really disappointed. Wasn't expecting Dion or Phil to go but I thought we'd see at least one of Bozak, Lupul and Polak.

We could've easily retained some salary on Lupul or Bozak to make the deals more palatable.

Nonis will regret not moving Lupul or Bozak for what ever he could get. Just for the sake of them being gone.

Really thought Tyler Bozak was going to be traded today.

Out of everyone (not including Jokinnen) I thought so too. I guess they just didnt feel they could get enough.

Im thinking more might happen come the off season.

Because they will look like more attractive acquisitions then? What if they don't? What if their general awfulness is every bit as apparent to other NHL GMs as it is to us? You know what? The gravy train ain't going to arrive with this lot. Given those contracts, it will be a miracle if we can give any of our core away.

Very predictable deadline for Leafs. Traded all valuable UFA's. Players with term don't often get traded at the deadline.
