Yeah they could choke it away, but it’s extremely unlikely.

Also it’s kind of absurd to say that Bob has been exposed now. Remember the time Patty Roy got lit up for 9 goals and demanded a trade? Now he’s got 2 Stanley cup rings plugging his ears.

FLA went to 3-0 quite easily.
Now Bob is exposed after 8 goals.
McDavid is at scoring 5ppg+ pace.
Barkov has scrambled eggs brain thanks to Draisaitl head hunting.
And The Finns are known for choking.
Could Florida just piss away their Stanley Cup chances?
Not easily. Series could easilly be 2-2 based on dominance of play.

Would have been exposed earlier if Oilers shot higher. Even a foot higher off the ice and Bobs shutout in game 1 turns into a potential goalie pull.

Barkov faked injury, would be the 8th faked injury/locker room visit for the Panthers all series. 8 for 8 for “injured” locker room visits where the player ends up miraculously 100% healthy.

Drai “head hunting” was nowhere near as bad as the 2 elbows to McDs back of head followed by 2 punches while his head was held. All 4 punches illegal in the sport of Boxing by the way.

Florida could piss this away though, yes. The 3-0 series lead is a mirage. These teams are closer than what people think. Analytically, the Oilers have been outplaying the Cats handily but haven’t been awarded the wins. This could swing in a huge way.

The great thing about sports is that anything’s possible.

Oilers are as streaky as they come, it’s very possible for them to come back and win it.

I think it’s still very unlikely, but crazy stuff happens.

Not long Florida was up 3 games on Toronto. They backed off the gas, gave the Leafs a home victory and then completed the gentleman's sweep at home in game 5.

The Leafs lost to Montreal leading 3-1...but Montreal lives rent-free in the cultural psyche of the Leafs...and Toronto is a far weaker, more fragile, softer and core character-flawed team than the Panthers.

It is Florida's year to shine.

Of course it’s possible though unlikely.

Oilers when they’re on are tough to beat, still wouldn’t read much into last game. Florida looked like a nervous team with their first time on the cusp on clinching a cup victory whereas Edmonton looked loose and went for it like a team with nothing to lose.

I doubt the horrid defensive play by this strong defensive Panthers team will continue.

If they beat Florida it won’t be an offensive affair rather they’ll need to beat them with good defence, sticks in lanes, winning puck battles etc in addition to tilting the ice on offence.

Basically how they beat the Canucks and Stars in the prior series.

Obviously? I mean, even if we assume that Panthers are 55% to win all games, Oilers have a 9% chance of winning.

I doubt it oilers are not that good.

But if it goes 6 this place implodes
It's been amazing following the game threads. As soon as one side or the other is in the lead, the losing side clears out and the shit talkers are out in full force. One moment "McDavid is the best in history" to "McDavid isn't even top 20" and these people aren't joking either, they're just genuine idiots.

Edmonton's limiting factor is goaltending. It seems very likely that they will spot Florida a 1-2 goal lead in one of the next three and then it's a very different style of game. That said, McDavid looked pretty dominant last game. As we all know, he can win a game on his own. A dominant performance on the road and it's back to Edmonton for game 6. Florida grips their sticks a bit tighter, than who knows.

Could yes

Will they? I give it like a 2% chance at best
