If he's so legit it should be a piece of cake to provide an example of a post where he called something big. And again, not counting a couple minute heads-up on something about to be announced because I acknowledge he has a friend he gets a heads-up on a completed deal where gfx are being put together. I'm speaking about big news that isn't a fence sitting "something might happen 👀👀"

Ive already provided the comment from yesterday and the comment that there was no Ullmark deal the same day the deal happened so I'm just looking for an example where he got it right. I've posted here 12 years and I can't think of any but maybe I've forgotten in my old age
I've seen it here for many years, I don't care enough to go through that exercise. You're entitled to your opinion, but my 2 cents is there's no question they get inside knowledge from somewhere and has provided it here on many occasions.

Weird hill to die on my friend. Enjoy the big trade deadline day for the Sens.
The hill of wanting evidence for a claim? I mean I know it's 2025 and we're moving into a post-truth society but some of us still like to see evidence before believing in things.

Benjiv1 has provided plenty of great bits of inside info over the years.

Like what though? You're the like 10th person coming to his defence so one of you should be able to give just 1 example of some solid inside info.

Every person repping his insider knowledge is just saying "Oh he's got years of evidence" but if it's so common and has happened so often it should be super easy to point to a post that supports that.

I've provided evidence for my claim that he rides his ability to leak signings a couple moments early into pretending he has real insider access but no one can provide anything to the contrary

But I'll drop it. See you all in July when it's all hands on deck
DM me if you want me to elaborate and your aren’t too proud.

I honestly don’t keep track of what I have gotten right or wrong over the years, I’m literally just passing stuff along as I hear it.

This ain’t it man. He’s given us plenty of heads up.

Best deadline Sens have ever had.

Man, Boris Tkachouk was some appetizer for the main meal today.

Examples of anything that isn't just saying "I'm hearing there's activity" around league hot points like TDL or July 1? Cause I can post the example where he said no Ullmark trade going down like minutes before it did lol

He’s very good at putting two and two together and make obvious guesses - The Ullmark trade wasn’t happening because at one point media said it was unlikely so he just went with it, one example.

Another one is the jersey info that he claimed to have insider info when it was announced by Poulin at season tickets event days previous to his claim lol

Sure - feel free to just message it to me as I'm heading out for a while but if you don't I can reach out later

I still dont understand why Adam’s included a 2nd round pick in that trade, seems like Staois should have, we are getting the younger cheaper and more productive player - anyways I’ll take advantage of the Sabers shit show but at the same time what a dumb move by Buffalo - sorry but you lost that trade big time (and I like Josh Norris)

We won the day for sure, but Josh Norris was clutch and I felt he had some big goals on that stick for this team and clutchiness is something that winning teams need lots of and I do feel we lost some of that.

I’m happy with the moves that were made. I think the Cozens trade ultimately makes a lot of sense for both teams. I’m very surprised it came at this time though. I thought this would’ve been an offseason move and try to win with Norris now.

I think it came down to weighing the risk of letting this trade wait for a few months and Norris potentially getting injured again. At which point his value would be non-existent.

The value we got for Norris is pretty good. Getting a high 2nd rounder in a great draft and a center like Cozens is probably the best case scenario we could’ve hope for value wise and looking at the fit as well. I’m surprised we were able to extract that type of value even though Norris is a good player.

For the Zetterlund deal, this is exactly the type of trade Staios needed to make. Under the radar. Young, under team control, and will bring some much needed scoring touch in our top 6. Probably one of the only guys that’s 25 and can score 20+ and play in your top 6 consistently for under 1.5M. This was a thought out move and I absolutely love it.

Grabbing Cozens also made Ostapchuk expandable in the long run. To me both trades were very very good value. Let’s see how it unfolds on the ice. I think we are better now without a doubt.

I get the allure of Norris. He's a pretty unique player. If he fully develops and stays healthy he'll be a stud for them.

But I like Cozens.

We traded relatively high on Norris and bought relatively low on Cozens. Could be an absolute steal of a trade or a disaster. But I like where we are now a bit more than yesterday.

Especially since the zetterlund deal couldn't happen without this one. I kind of wonder if the zetterlund one was arranged first.

I think what likely really makes Staios nervous is Norris’ ability to stay healthy with Cozens, we get someone who has a track record of being healthy read it was either 3 or 8 games missed over 3 years time.

Last thing this team needs is someone making $8M whose is in and out of the line up and perhaps one shoulder hit away from god forbid something way more serious long-term for him.

With Cozens we also get a former 30 goal scorer who may be more suited for playoff hockey.

Pretty much how I see it. Loved Norris when healthy, but his inability to go a season without injury has been alarming. Mind you if we even make the playoffs things get more physical. Feel better having Cozens in that regard.

Yeah. And Norris disappeared sometimes. He wasn't super consistent, even without the injuries.

I kind of wonder if his decision to keep himself off the roster when he was cleared to play was a factor for staios.

Edit: wanna be clear here. Josh was never bad. He was consistent in that regard. He was never a player that hurt us out there. He just sometimes had games where he didn't help that much.

Cozens at the WJC was a complete animal and probs has a higher ceiling than Norris. Travis Green has really found rolls and gotten the best out of this team, I think Cozens will really benefit under Green and be at his NHL best, and even better in 3 years. If he has chemistry with Batherson and he elevates that line Ottawa goes to another level.

I’m excited to see him play on Saturday. What a huge game to come into.

Hopefully Zetterlund can make NYR game on time - SJ was likely in route to New York so he should be close and be able to make it on time you’d think.

ahh good call my mistake

Makes it Less likely probably

There are several ways he can make it.

There's a flight at 11 pm from San Franciso airport to Toronto. He arrives Toronto 7:30am. Flight to Ottawa at 9 gets to Ottawa at 10:30.

It's 5 pm in San Jose.

He can easily make it. The drive is an hour away to SanFran airport. He can easillllyyyy make it. And that's IF he was just told to start moving from now.

I've booked impromptu 2-3 week international trips across the continent with 5 hours until departure.

It's pretty clear that as your team improves and you want to get better via hockey trades you will be giving up good players to get players you think are better fits and ultimately make your team better. Sometimes that means moving on from players loved by fans and their team mates

What a TDL day! .. The arms race in the atlantic and in the central is crazy; Lots of teams moving all their chips in the middle... 1 will come out a winner.

The Rantanen thing in Carolina is shameful... Dorionesque

Speaking of Dorion, listening to the trade deadline yesterday and how much the Canes got for Rantanen (or the Nelson/Coyle trade, etc), it was a CRUEL reminder of what we got for Duchene and Stone...

We really had the worst GM in NHL history

This new Avs GM is a moron

Ritchie, Mittelstadt, Zellers, 1st and two 2nds for Nelson, Coyle and Lindgren

Did Dorion get a new job or what?
