Dreger on TradeCentre says flyers are licking there lips after the nelson trade. flyers are supposed to be on ice at noon. Says a 1st plus or equivalent of would be return. Says Risto hang up is how they replace him. 1st, prospect and a player is what flyers want for Risto.

Who cares how they replace him? They aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I’m saying this not to you, but I actually believe Dreger that this is their mindset. “6’4 RHD don’t grow on trees!”

So far from what I recall names that have been mentioned:

Laughton
Risto
Zamula
York
Kuzmenko
Poehling

Anyone i'm missing?

If we trade AMac, how will we replace those minutes? If we trade Risto, we will be looking for a big, physical, RHD the next day ....

This would actually be one to keep an eye on. I am 85 percent sure the team has completely soured on him and they’ll take a massive hit to get rid of him IMO.

They've done a good job of rehabbing Risto and Poehling. I wish I had any faith in them making the decision to cash in on that.
Imagine trading all of those replacement level players + Laughton and Risto. It would be such a good change of pace. You could get a ton of picks for that group. Likely 2 1sts IMO

Eh. Not sure on that. There are only 7 2025 1sts currently in a playoff spot not traded yet. The first two teams out have already moved theirs.

You might as well knock that down to 6 because Carolina is not doing that. CBJ, VAN, and OTT don't feel like they're looking to make that kind of move either. That leaves you win LAK and the 2 conference leaders. So maybe. But I'd guess it's more likely to be a future pick. Especially given that the Flyers apparently don't give less value for those.
Just to add, TSN mentioned that Ottawa has to forfeit a 1st either in 2025 or 26 so likely won't look to make a move where it costs them a 1sts.

The Flyers have traded
Bernie Parent
Dave Schultz
Darryl Sittler
Brad McCrimmon
Rick Tocchet
Mark Recchi
Simon Gagne
Rod Brindamour
Peter Forsberg (twice)
JVR
Wayne Simmonds
Jake Voracek
Ghost
Claude Giroux

But Scott f***ing Laughton is where they draw the line.

Idiots

He'll be traded when he's a pending UFA... at the end of his next contract, after he has completely fallen off

Logical, but they should hear me out (nobody does this, obvs, but fun): Travis Sanheim, Travis Konecny, Scott Laughton, and Rasmus Ristolainen for Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris, their choice of Perron, Jensen, or Zub, and their first this year. All those guys are under contract for next year, so that gives them a deeper bench to make the postseason this year and next, and they get out from under the Norris deal.

OK, that was fun, now back to reality.
