Briere's ask for Ristolainen is quite high. I'm always one to say always start high, but Briere should be happy anyone is interested in Ristolainen. I don't care how much better he's playing, if you can move his contract without having to retain much, at this point you do it.
From all the rumours, it sounds like we have 2 valuable commodities, yet the consensus is Briere is going to f*** this up.

Finally the trade deadline! The NHL league-wide ban on trades has been lifted! Briere can FINALLY start making and taking some calls. I just hope he spent the last few months making sure he had the other GMs contact info!

Dreger on TradeCentre says flyers are licking there lips after the nelson trade. flyers are supposed to be on ice at noon. Says a 1st plus or equivalent of would be return. Says Risto hang up is how they replace him. 1st, prospect and a player is what flyers want for Risto.
