I didn’t think they would trade both of them. The retention slots were also a issue. He also sucks even though he has been ok this season
 
After listening to his press conference and take a closer look at things, I give it a B-...elevated from a C+ on first glance.

Shit I liked:

  • Flipped a UFA in Kuzmenko for a 3rd rounder.
  • Traded Laughton and got back a 1st + Decent Prospect
  • Trading EJ back to Colorado
  • I Didn't want Minten, strictly because I do not like his name.

Shit I didn't like
  • Kuzmenko was a UFA, you got a 3rd for him but added in the 7th...kind of meaningless.
  • Kind of pointless 4th and 6th added into the Laughton trade.
  • Givanni Smith is kind of pointless...what does he do that one of your AHLer's doesn't do.
  • Not trading Risto
  • Danny's Press Conference.
  • Lack of urgency.
Coming out of Danny's press conference it just seems like they aren't in any sort of transition to actually start trying to get competitive...Maybe he's playing it coy, but we got to start moving this shit along. I know he says he thinks they are further ahead slightly then he thought they would be...However we he talks it sounds like he is in any rush.Doesn't think they are doing anything in free agency - which is fine because I don't think there's a ton out there. However, the lack of urgency and not mentioning other ways to improve the team (Trades) is annoying. I mean it sounds at this point like they don't plan to be all in until 27/28. You've already been shit since 2011...it's time to get f***ing moving.

Just caught up on the Sabres. Wow. They really are going to be hideous forever. Just completely hopeless.

Gotta be respectful to the junior team because the team is fighting for a playoff spot... that's a rough quote. :laugh:

I can't recall if it's even possible to bring him back up (I lean towards it not being possible). Edit: it appears to be possible after the junior team's season is over.

Every time I see a Briere press conference, a little part of me dies.
