So happy we didn't pick up Iginla.
I'd be okay with Vrbata (depending on what we give up)

Breaking up the Benns, pulling King out of the Kings.

I say we get one of the Sedins next. We're on a mission to break all nominative recurrence in the league.

PK is such a beauty at dealing with the press, no one on the Habs or in the league comes close to him when it comes to dealing with the public.

I turned on the TV and he is at the podium and I got hopeful.:laugh:

I don't think I'm ever going to "get over" sending him to Nashville, honestly. I'm a big sports fan, not just hockey, and I'm very familiar with this is how it goes. But I haven't ever been so bothered losing a player. Not only was he an all star, but we had the awesome, lovable personality as well as the charity and what he did for the city.

I have my PK Predators jersey shirt and wear it pretty often. It just bums me out man.

Winnipeg will send Wheeler, who can score, to Montreal in exchange for Lehkonen, who is Finnish and an ideal linemate to Laine

I love nothing more than a player who loves the team and city he defends.
PK was that.

Worse than the top 6?

They weren't costing us games. The new ones aren't going to win us games.

You need to score to win. I really don't understand why this is so mind boggling to so many people here.

"Yeah but they will be so hard to play against!"

It's a fact that we will be harder to play against. How is that bad?

Also, we are 12th in the NHL in scoring. Not great, but it's not catastrophic like some are claiming. A bunch of guys are in a slump, some are coming off injuries, and hopefully the scoring will pick up. I still think we need more scoring in the top 6, but our scoring woes are overstated. We're having trouble scoring lately, not in general. Besides, scoring in the regular season does not translate into scoring in the playoffs. Guys like Vanek would provide scoring for the remaining 18 games, but would disappear in the playoffs. I'd rather take a guy who is tame in the regular season but steps it up in the playoffs than a guy who tears it up in the regular season and disappears in the playoffs. For our needs, Bourque would be better than Vanek. When the dance starts, Bourque steps it up, while Vanek runs away like a scared rookie who doesn't want to be on the ice.

I don't really want Bourque, just saying that adding a "scorer" isn't so straight cut. Even if we could get a guy like Pavel Bure in his prime, I wouldn't want him on my team come playoff time.
