Why should we trade him to Florida at a reasonable cost, lest he blossom into something good? I don't see the value proposition here, only the spite angle.

His QO is 1.6M and what if no one wants him. He's terrible after all, don't forget. They can just claim him on waivers if they really think he's an option too.

It’s very unlikely we find a better 2C this summer. There just aren’t many available. And the few that are probably cost more than we have expendable assets for

There’s rumours of the Senators going after Jason Robertson. They are also reportedly looking for a big RHD. They have Cozens currently slotted on the wing (Stutzle, Pinto, Greig at C). Being wishful but there may be a chance.

They have Cozens playing on the wing.

If they target someone like J Robertson maybe a combo of Avs 1st/Carlo/N Robertson+ can land Cozens?

They have the assets to land Knies as well, but I’d rather not move him (especially to a division rival). But something like 9th + Cozens + Yakemchuk/25th overall would be enough to satisfy the rumoured asking price.

Bob would be stupid to leave. Nobody has a better top 9 than Florida. Of course health will always be a question mark. Their players are getting older and injuries will be more common now, but if they can stay decently healthy I don’t see anyone stopping them again.
