Not a single person had anything on the Brady thing via the mainstream other than a few reports. Brady himself months ago said he was committed at his exit press conference. That obviously changed fast. People here said if he wasn't signing long-term when he could, he was a goner... and he's a goner because he said he wasn't going to.
The same people that said Matthews wanted to leave, or wasn't sure about his role here, are now saying he wants to stay to see it through, which likely means a contract extension when he can. Maybe because that's what the information suggests. Maybe it's all wrong, hard to say, we're not insiders. Not all players are the same and Matthews is certainly not Tkachuk.
Maybe he wants out. And if he does you'll get your wish. Maybe he does want to stay. I don't know.
