Maybe the league office is using the same software that crashed and burned earlier today on these very boards.Wonder why the hold up. A bunch of trades near the end?
That is very debatableI'm happy for Rask. Wild showing him some respect, he doesn't belong in the minors.
Meh. Not a big deal. It's not like Rask is going to make or break this team.I don't like this trade. MN has no depth if there is an injury to a center.

It's interesting that Guerin said he knows what will happen after this season, so I guess the plan is set already.
I wonder if they'll re-sign Fleury, perhaps a couple of years if he'll take 3M a yr.
They won’t go more than a year at a time with him I bet, but likely that they do look to bring him back if things go well. It's interesting that Guerin said he knows what will happen after this season, so I guess the plan is set already.

For sure. 35+ contactThey won’t go more than a year at a time with him I bet, but likely that they do look to bring him back if things go well.
I believe the consensus here was that Russo was incorrect on how that would work and thus wouldn't help us at all.Did anyone hear the comment on 32 Thoughts podcast a couple weeks ago where Russo asked one of them if they had heard anything about the Wild taking on Shea Weber's LTIR contract?
Could that be a solution to keeping both Dumba and Fiala? Something like sign Fleury for near league minimum, trade Talbot, play our first game shorthanded then call up 3-4 players (Rossi, Beckman, etc.) from the AHL once Weber is officially on LTIR.
Yes, and Russo himself later said the information was incorrect.I believe the consensus here was that Russo was incorrect on how that would work and thus wouldn't help us at all.

I am not on board with this.Wild should trade for Dadanov. We've got the capspace to eat it for the rest of the season, get a fun new first round pick(plus probably) and he'd probably be better than anything else we can get next year as a Fiala replacement.
Boldy-Rossi-Dadanov 3rd line.

This aged like milk. Because that's exactly where Seattle placed him upon his arrival.I'm happy for Rask. Wild showing him some respect, he doesn't belong in the minors.
Who else do we have to replace Fiala? He's got good underlying numbers, but a piss poor on ice shooting percentage which appears to be suppressing his assists. Still puts the puck in the net well.
We could afford 5m for a year, and to get a first out of it? Why not. Could do worse.
