Yet another example of where Torts is generally a huge hypocrite. Demands "professionalism" and all these other ridiculous things from his players, sets arbitrary standards...but can't be bothered to suck it up and dress properly behind the bench, himself. Has all sorts of inconsistencies in what he demands of his players and the way he treats them, and the standard he holds himself to.

The epitome of it was with Vancouver where they had to put a cot in his office so he could take his naps and not have to drive hours home and back every day, because it was costing him coaching time.

This is exactly it. Torts is just a hypocrite. Whenever he sees things he doesn't like, he cries about "respect for the game" and "being old school". But if there's some tradition or practice he doesn't like, he just won't do it.

The hilarious part about Torts in Vancouver is that he refused to live in Vancouver...or Canada altogether.

This is what I thought before the hoodie thing. Can you name a head coach who likes the spotlight more than Torts?

So, what does that mean to you though?
What does "craving the spotlight mean"?

Talking to the media?
Not caring about certain norms?

How would you rather want him to be?

If people would just stop being cowards and openly admit that they don't like his face or that they don't like him because he's is or used to be the coach of a rival team, or because he said something about your favorite team that was anything but praise I'd at least have more respect for that person.

But every single time I see a Torts threat pop up I see the same baseless bullshit about him.
The guy is actually pretty down to earth and f***ing normal compared to the majority of weirdos we have in the NHL.

He may have worn out his welcome in New York but I'll never not heap praise on this absolute gem of a human being.
The work he has done for dogs and the work he has done with people who suffer from disabilities tells me everything I need to know about him.

And in a circus full of clowns, this man actually is a lion tamer and the clowns don't know how to handle it and start crying about him "seeking the spotlight".

Who cares what the coaches wear? NBA coaches have ditched the suits for years now.

Yea, so professional wearing a suit but yelling profanities at the refs all game. All of that shit is hypocritical.
