I notice he had a chance to throw a hit on a Sen making an outlet pass in the corner and let up. Why do these guys never get the memo that if you just finished a hit you could actually make a reputation which translates into real contract dollars.
You would think an AHler who is 6'6 figure that out. A gift wasted

I remember Tyler Kleven getting clowned at the 2020 draft and what a win the trade it was to trade down for Hirvonen and Niemela. We won't know who won that trade for years, but tonight's a nice reminder that trading up is a completely viable option, especially when you can bring in a 21 year old 6'4" defenseman with a bit of upside.

I'm really trying but I really don't understand what people see in Lafferty. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Reminds me of the Frederik Gauthier conundrum. Just think of the literal millions in income for not being able to find the motivation to mechanically finish hits every shift. Don't even have to be mean, just be committed to your role and just use physics.

He's a worse Kerfoot which I didn't think was possible

Not even. He's just a faster Aston-Reese. I don't get the separation between trading for him vs having seen enough of Aube-Kubel that you have to waive him.

I doubt anyone was actually watching Chicago games when they advocated for him.

Just didn’t have it in him. Engvall had that too.

Engvall is good enough at other things like speed and puck control that he could find another role.

There's no room in the game for gentle giants who don't hit and can't play. I'm just talking about Gauthier. Keep an open mind with the new guy.
