The only thing that excites me about this is the fan convention, as when I went as a kid, I remember some awesome and truly unique collectables from cards to rare jerseys. Actually found my dad a unique Gretzky jersey (Gretzky famously tucked his Jersey in, and it didn't show the jersey manufacturer logo, so for him specifically, they started putting them on both sides). I'll def check out the fan convention if its at Toronto Convention Center. And, I'm happy a ton of kids passionate about hockey will get an opportunity to go to it, I have a great memory of meeting Terrible Ted there (Still have his autograph) talking about the formation of the NHLPA and the hardships he experienced related to it. That stuff means way more to me than the Skills competition and the actual game. Now, in Toronto we are lucky enough we already have the Hall of Fame to take kids somewhere to learn about the history of the game, and also getting to use some fun interactive games.
I don't think there is anywhere else in North America where you will find as many kids between 5-12 who are passionate about the game who will love getting to experience that stuff if well pulled off.
