Happened with Sundin.

When he was off, the team worked hard.

Sundin didn't have the shot, but he was a lot tougher.
Dont forget one is on the first year of a 13.25 million per year/ 3 year contract and the other is in a contract year.

Matthews scored 69 goals in his contract year.

That is just whatever line Marner is on.. trust me if you put him back with JT that line will get going too
Lol Tavares line will get going too? They scored yesterday and have had numerous breakaways. Marners line didnt score and only had 3 shots yesterday and was also scored on. Today they were scored on again too.

Tavares has been our most consistent leaf 5v5 all season long. Hes produced with no matter whose on his line, Nylander, Patches, Marner.

The problem with Sundin was he was the Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews of his line

Only had a marner in Mogilny in OT and on the PP

They were beautiful together

I’d say he was a little more close to a John Tavares in some ways. He was a very talented player but had to adapt to a dead puck era and that meant more of a power game, going to high danger scoring areas like a bull and working it down low while absorbing physical play. If Matthews had gone through that evolution over his career he would be a lot more of a straight line player and consistent puck transporter through the neutral zone like a classic center.

More smoke and mirrors, Mathews had his extension signed before the season began so how is that a relevant comparison

NMC is stupid. If you buy a car and don't want the freaking thing anymore you sell it. Same with a guitar or a piano. These are employees you can't even fire ffs.

NMC makes hockey lame
You're arguing against no-anything, not NMC. If Trouba had a NMC, New York is stuck with the shitty car they paid $8 million long term for.

If there are no NTC or NMC in the NHL, teams like Utah and Columbus are going to become dumping grounds for over the hill shitty players teams don't want anymore, and teams like the Rangers are going to start operating like the Dodgers, giving out ridiculous contracts and then dumping players when they start to decline.

NHL Hockey broadcasts in Canada is basically all about a collection of unlikable characters trying to present hockey in the most annoying way possible.

Just go quiet and let me hear the crowd. They don't add to the experience. Should have fan audio stream available. No commentary

Craig needs to figure out how to snap the boys out of these half assed efforts they’re becoming all too comfortable offering up lately.

The sample size is too small. Until he can win a series he is just one of those goalies.

No doubt. That's why we have to keep playing him.
Either way, good or bad, the sample size is too small

But he has shown potential
