Teams can outplay the Leafs but they don`t need many scoring chances to convert.

Byron is the best Hab so far.

Haven't been able to make it through a full game this year. Tonight was going to be the night, but I don't know if I'll make it.

Believe it or not Beaulieu is averaging over 20min/game

I've checked the boxscore a couple times wondering how he was doing for play time. I never though Beaulieu was as bad as many made him out to be and I hope he makes the most of his new opportunity with the Sabres. Trading him for only a 3rd was a very questionable move IMO.

i honestly believe price will be a luongo situation - habs like canucks, missed their chance (though canucks got to cup) and habs will have an "overpriced" goalie on a team going nowhere. You don't build contenders with that much payroll tied up in a goalie and crappy D. not. going. to. happen

I remember when people said MB was dumb for putting so much cap space in his D and so little in his O. The argument was that if you have Price you can take chances offensively and Price will stop everything anyway....

LOL to that.

The idea was that you don't need 5 defensive dmen when you have Price.

That doesn't mean you can throw out possibly the weakest d in the eastern conference and be fine.

Price hasn't been good tonight but I don't blame him for mailing it in. We've scored 4 (now 5) goals this year. Leafs have scored 22 (now 24). Pretty sure he knew the kind of night he was in for.

The Leafs are constantly attacking on offense. Hard for the other team to score when one team as the puck all the time attacking on offense. Very entertaining brand of hockey.

Maintaining possession wins games. It's the most vital part of Mike Babcock's system. Defensive or offensive system, I will never understand how so many pro coaches think that willingly giving up possession, for any purpose, is a good idea. Outside of a PK of course.

Not sure how he's doing things in Montreal, but it was one of the things that killed me about CJ's system. The only way they changed lines was by dumping the puck into the defensive zone and peeling off. Why the hell you wouldn't keep a D-man in the defensive zone with the puck on his stick while everyone else changes out is still a mystery to me, and I scrutinized the system for years.

Let's see if the PP does anything. Not expecting much but it would even the slate.

The funny thing is theres only 8 teams spending more money on their defense in the NHL. Bergevin you moron, what a great job of destruction hes doing. BERGEVIN THE DEMOLITION MAN

Wow. I didn't realize that. And we're stuck with this for 3 years min until Petry's deal runs out. That's concerning..
