Laval Rocket: Toronto Marlies vs Laval Rockets 7:00 EST

Dach is a smarter player than Mailloux and was very good to the point many had him as a 1B to Suzuki's 1A. Then, the injury happened. Up to then, there wasn't any question about the price paid. This is all available to read in his thread, look at the posts from January 2022 to his injury.

Mailloux is not a top 15 pick, never was and wouldn't have been under this management or for the vast majority of NHL clubs. I don't know why this is getting pushback or why Dach, a completely unrelated player who was traded (and not drafted) during a completely different (and weak) draft, is being brought into the equation.
Because youre acting like thinking a player should have been ranked higher is an issue when that same group that thought that is still here.

Mailloux is a fine prospect.

Damn what an awful giveaway by the Marlies at offensive blueline on their own PP.

Dauphin steals it & goes in on a breakaway. He goes 5-hole on Murray, goal. Shorthanded. 20th goal of season for Dauphin, who imo, has earned a two-way NHL contract for next year.

Yeah and 90% of this board was saying he'll be better than Suzuki after his 1st season with the team before the injuries started to hit. There's no comparison to be made btw the two.
So, a board that overrates a player who produced the most as a winger with the top line convinced a bunch of people he would be a better centre than Suzuki despite being atrocious on the dot is a good enough sample ?

Mailloux put up 25 goals, almost a ppg and then proceeded to put up over a ppg in the playoffs for London, with 8 goals would make him a highly regarded prospect.

He is a decent AHLer but that is about it. He screws up too many chances like the last one where it took him 5 seconds to control the puck
