Timmins is productive but still raw. Whereas Klingberg has the high end skills package but people are pre-emptively whipping him for no reason.
lol i've been saying this since we signed klingberg, it's not based on his play in the first game. it's just my hill to die on this season.

Don’t think Steeves was ever meant to be more than a darkhorse candidate.

Cowan is cheeky like a young Marner.
I agree, just remember a few years ago he, and abruzesse were seen as our future bottom six depth options

Now we’ve got 3-4 guys with middle 6 potential.

Maybe there is room for both Timmins and Klingberg. If they really wanted more offense from our D, then we would have Rielly, Klingberg, and Timmins on different pairings. They can all make plays and get the puck to the net or into the hands of our forwards in dangerous areas.

No one ever worried about having 2x 6’3” RHD who can generate offense on the same team. We’re fine with Klingberg and Timmins. They will be useful at different times and if Timmins can establish himself it will make a big difference come spring time.
