Holl's been worse IMO

I feel like Holl has been noticeably better.

Holl looks like a guy who knows the right plays to make and just makes blunders.

Sandin makes rookie mistakes. Plays he thinks will work out, but won't work out at the NHL level more often than not. He might be able to work it out over time, but when we are a playoff team, he is waiver exempt, and we have at least 6 guys who make fewer rookie mistakes... I don't know if we should be giving him a leash that he has not earned.

Depends on how much time.

If it's broken, then it's LTIR and they just replace him. If it's a 7-14 day sprain or bruise, then it becomes trickier

He got much too comfortable deferring to Matthews. I think you can get more out of him if he's the top option hauling the puck

Yeah. Like when he was the straw stirring the Bozak JVR unit. Let him have guys who can support him doing whatever he wants and then have Matthews do his thing on his own line.

Honestly I hope throughout the season when needed in a game the lines get blended more than just different players being promoted to the 1st and 2nd lines. Get crazy with it.

Spread the big four on four different lines. Have Marner on a line by himself. Put Nylander with Matthews. Etc

Too much stock gets put on line numbers.

If he's taking a regular 5 on 5 shift, playing the PP and PK he still likely leads the forwards in TOI.
