I'm more embarrassed to say somehow following a snow blower around made me tired.

It's not terrible and probably the best we could have hoped for. It will be a long haul but they managed to space it out not too bad.

my super optimistic prediction is a 6-0 (edit 7-0, forgot about Marner) win with a Matthews hatty, Nylander, Mikheyev, (edit Marner) and Lilj scoring the other 3(edit 4)
(edit However my gut feeling is a 5-4 win, our 2nd D pair is going to try some silly stuff and get burned a cpl times

Even with Holl and Muzzin leafs will need to add a bigger size D

absolutely agree, this has long been something that I firmly believe (that playoffs require size on the blue line). It’s a big reason St. louis won the cup a few years ago (Pietrangelo, Parayko, Edmundson etc), it’s a big part of Montreal last year (Petry, Edmundson, Chiarot, Weber). It’s why Tampa got Savard this year, it’s why Tampa got Bogosian and so on.

It’s why I’m confident Colorado is not a good playoff bet.

And it’s why the Leafs so badly need some defence muscle

A combination of basic stats like goals and assists plus analytics stats like expected goals, both for and against, all over weighted 3yr samples and adjusted for player role and Usage.....and all of that wrapped up and scaled to Wins, so that the number tells you how many wins that player adds to a team all by himself.

P.S. He may or may not play very well tonight (probably will be solid) but regardless, this kid will eventually become a mainstay and a McDonagh lite at worst. We all will be hearing his name for years and years. Sorry, not sorry.
