just do point %, your post is trying to push your agenda
To be fair to Mess, overtime/shootout wins we're bad things when it came to Lou's and Curtis McElhinney's records. It's like you can use it when it suits an argument and discredit it when it suits an argument.

The timing isn't that bad at least. Rangers, Ducks, Wings, Islanders, Devils....these aren't offences that should be scaring anyone.
Actually the timing is excellent, "if" you can get by tonight. Admittedly, 5v5 kind of underwhelming, but Would suggest staying OUT of the sin bin, otherwise it could be a long night.

Not many reg season games I REALLY want but this one I want bad...trash talking with some Ranger fan buddies await!

I don't even know what you're talking about, but they are a gimmick. Saying that they just immediately count as losses is just idiotic, they still gained a point. I'd rather look at regulation wins and losses and ignore overtime/shootout losses.

he's talking about chronic flipflopping by that poster.

Shesterkin should be a Hart Trophy favourite. The Rangers are ass and should be nowhere near the division title but they are because of him.

A bit of a meaningful game here actually. Last opponent high in the standings for a while. And they can catch us for 5th if they beat us tonight, or we could create separation between the top 5 and the rest if we beat them.

And the Rangers are the one top team that looks the iffiest and most likely tonfall down the standings - then again, maybe Shesterkin is just that good and can keep them up there despite their middling skater performance and talent.

Anyways, would be nice to keep up with the rest of the top 5 who can't stop winning, especially as we head into a bit of a softer stretch.

Shootout wins say nothing about a team's talent, that's true. But Mess was pretending that ties were the same as losses, and that's never been true.

Can you give just a quick idea of what these numbers mean?

Game Score Value Added.

A combination of basic stats like goals and assists plus analytics stats like expected goals, both for and against, all over weighted 3yr samples and adjusted for player role and Usage.....and all of that wrapped up and scaled to Wins, so that the number tells you how many wins that player adds to a team all by himself.
