I think it is 100 the same for every team. No one is getting better if their 1 or 2 goes down.

I can't think of a single team that has depth where their 7th D would even come close to a 1 or 2
I think it's more that the depth all moves up a spot. I imagine some teams would be better built for it than others.

Low scoring game always between these teams .. expecting a 3-2 OT/SO game with excellent tenders .. hopefully Lily can cover up for Sandin but we will see .. good to see some experimentation .. it is regular season hockey and no one is going b*lls to wall

I dunno, I am calling a Campbell shut out and a Matthews hatty

We finna gangsta our thang up alright in this one again  Reaves might get a dancing partna for real. We have all the thugs..... Rithie is the only one playing like the hunchback on the notredame. He a real hillbilly on the bench with that hey on his lip.

Leafs are 11-6-4 without Muzzin since we traded for him and and 12-9-3 without Mo in the same time frame so

Thanks for the research. :)

So 11 wins & 10 losses without Muzzin and 12 wins & 12 losses without Mo Riels.

That pretty well makes my point that when 1 of Leafs top 2 Dmen are missing then Leafs wins vs losses are about 50 %.

Tonight is going to be one of those games, and fortunately Muzz is be back sooner then later.

It was an obvious headshot, and Muzzin was rattled after. He didn't get pulled out back to be checked, he was out for the next shift. Don't like that too much. Concussion spotters need to do better.
Even Garry Galley (I think that's who was doing colour) said he got his bell rung and wasn't himself right after the hit. Can't believe they didn't yank Muzzin after that.

The timing isn't that bad at least. Rangers, Ducks, Wings, Islanders, Devils....these aren't offences that should be scaring anyone.

Not entirely true. You should say 'when at least 1' is missing.

The Leafs were 3-3-2 without both in the lineup (I believe the only time that happened was in 2019-2020), which is included in that number. So that is not exactly true. Take the two best defenseman off of any team and see how that team does.

With only 1 missing, we are 17-9-3. 8-3-2 without just Muzzin. 9-6-1 without just Rielly. We win 58% of the time, with a .637 point percentage. Obviously, losing a top 4 defenseman for any team almost certainly results in a lower point percentage than if they are in the lineup... Or there are larger issues at play. However, we do more than fine, and as respectable as Rosen and Marincin were in 2019-2020 as depth guys, our #7 this year is much better. I think the rest of our defense, top down, is better at handling that kind of injury now too. Ceci is not our top defensive defenseman anymore.

There is a Holl lot more missing than you've noted.
lmao. sorry, but that was funny. NYR fan here coming in peace AND a whole lot of curiousity on tonights game and thoughts of/from you all. Looking forward to an inspiring and entertaining hockey game at MSG.
Games have been few and far between it seems, so I'm jonesing.
I read you're without Muzzin and icing two rookies.......well, that sounds familiar as we have been icing many rookies on the back end.
let me see.....there is Lundkvist, Jones, and now a much ballyhooed Braden Schneider playing all of his 3rd game and impressing his first 2.
And sprinkling in a 2nd year pro in k'Andre Miller. (watch out for his reach!) In regard to rookie dman,
Coach needs to be smart but can be done......more difficult on the road with home team getting last changes.

Nothing better than Orig6 matchups.
Enjoy fellas, I know I will and EXPECTING quite the game.
Btw, loving our future all-star goaltender.....tough filling those "Henrik, Henrik" huge skates. Shesty has been outstanding, quick like Quick used to be and pretty big.
Again, have fun and have one on me!

Asymptomatic players aren't being tested anymore. Apart from border crossings, so that's fun.
Yes they are still getting rapid tests .. and same in minors .. my son still gets them .. after February 5th the daily testing is supposed to stop and old rules will go back into affect and Ritchie will go to Marlies
