That would be fine if they did it with pace like they started the game. This slow down and deliberate is so easy too defend

until this team starts playing constantly the consistency wont appear . we need to be in game shape right now but its hard when your only playing a game or 2 followed by almost a week off while other teams are still playing 3-4 times a week

They'd be wasted. All we try to do on our PP is give it to Matthews or Marner on the outside and have them rip it.

Teams would have to change how they defend our PP. They just sag off Rielly at the top of the umbrella.

Defensemen play in our zone is absolutely ridiculous. A couple guys especially, but just in general... The turnovers, some forced and some not are inexcusable. Missing a couple of our bigger D shows, as we have three guys who are shitting their pants below the goal line.

Forwawrds are playing well overall. JT still not his peak-self... it's like he can't be average, it's either awesome or awful. The 4th line as constructed tonight is completly useless

Campbell has been left out to dry on the goals for the most part.

In a good position to get another win on the road... just need to tidy up our own end and keep pushing.

I'd trade a 2nd + for manson and a 1st sandin and robertson + Ritchie for Chychurn and Crouse. We would have a very complete team afterwards that could play any style. We still have knies Niemela amirov and Liljegren for potential high end youth.

Yup. 3 of the top teams in the league and they got 5/6 points from those games, on the road. What does that say about those three contenders?

yea the way that 4th line is playing is basically the kind of playoff hockey Leafs struggle with, like against the Bruins.

Yep. Campbell has let in 16 goals in his last 3 games and 2 periods. Our defensive coverage has been awful, but he has been awful as well, no need to sugar coat it, I'm a huge fan of his too.

If I’m management I might be convinced after tonight’s test that we need to go pursue a long term defensive fix like Chychrun. And if it costs Sandin or Liljegren it’s not the end of the world.

Not hating on the Swedish twins but you just don’t need to develop both if you get a different defenseman at the same age with a skillset that we don’t have.

Isn't the cap an issue?
