Speed, dribbling, passing, link-up play, creative runs, bringing in double teams and spraying th ball, press resistance, etc. Insinge is the full package he can play as a CF, on the wing, or slide into the pocket as a #10. He will contend for MVP whereas Belotti will score a ton of goals and be in the golden boot race. Both are great things but Insigne will be the one pulling the strings imo....

Crazy we could have both of these guys and Pozuelo still.

I would agree with this as well... Insigne is the better all around player but Belotti will score a shit ton

Well, he is 2 years younger, has similar or better numbers over the past few years and is taller and more versatile.

His number over his career are nowhere near Insigne.

There's more nuances to the game than just numbers. Also, this isn't hockey, being a bit taller doesn't really matter. Football is becoming less and less physical all the time. I wouldn't say he's versatile either, he's a typical #9, Insigne can play wide, central or as a second striker.

I'm not bashing Belotti, he'd be a fantastic signing. But Insigne is on a different level to him.

In the presser this morning, Bill Manning said that there are other player targets in the works that may not join the team until the summer transfer window. That falls in line with all the other rumors we've been hearing (Belotti, Criscito, etc.)

The team is going to have to tread water in the league standings for a few months until all the reinforcements arrive.

Don't have much hope for next season, with the players we are losing and replacements not coming until July, we could still be looking for our 1st win. Afterall we only had 6 all last season with Altidore.

I got the Insigne and Chiesa injury news mixed up. Woof, Chiesa's looks bad.

Any news on what happened to Insigne?

Belotti, Crisitto, and Gio are all real possibilities for TFC to acquire.

Would be incredible if all 3 can join Insigne and Puezelo in Toronto.

Belotti
Insigne-Puezelo-Gio

That would be a great start and unstoppable foursome in the attack.

Nothing but love and respect for Dichio. i would still consider him my favorite TFC player all time.

... also i'm guessing living in ontario was a big factor in his decision. Total speculation on my part, but i don't know why anyone would want to live here now if they have opportunities elsewhere.

Pretty sure he took a job with the Men’s National team.

Admittedly I have a far better understanding of hockey than I do of MLS. I see TFC traded the 3rd overall pick in the draft to dump Dwyer. In hockey this would be a HUGE deal. Is it not as big of a deal in MLS?

Not to say it isn’t important, but the MLS draft isn’t nearly as important as it is for the NHL. Sucks to lose the 3rd overall but gets Dwyer’s inflated salary off the books and TFC also got 50k GAM in the deal.

Another parting gift from Curtis. What a mess he made.
