Bernardeschi with a sweet outside of the boot delivery and MacNaughton finishes with an attacking header. Seemed to be 5 red jerseys in the 6 and no white ones.

Very rare to see CB's subbed for tactical reasons and it has to be the first time i've ever seen a CB pairing changed out for tactical reasons. I actually think it is the right move. O'Neill just fell over like he dropped his cane and had no balance.

They need an attacking midfielder badly. I think that’s even more important than a defender right now.

We lost to Vancouver?? Yikes
In fairness, we don't get much out here in Vancouver, this one just feels like we won the league. We never get a top transfer, our ownership is cheap as shit. The only talent we've ever had was a 16 year old Alphonzo Davies. Our big transfers are always some nobody from central/south america or Scotland. In fact, we don't even usually get to see top European talent when they come to Vancouver as they don't want to play on turf. I remember specifically buying tickets to go see Thiery Henry and the NYRB and he didn't even travel with the team as it was turf. So major props to Insigne and Berna for not being prima donna's and giving the Vancouver fans what they came to see. I am not sure anyone in attendance actually thought Vancouver would win. Sure it's a big game, but more than 50% of that crowd went to see the Italians whether they want to admit it or not.

Insigne and Berna are about as big of names to transfer into the MLS as I can remember. Beckham, Pirlo, Rooney, Gerrard and Schwiensteiger were a couple names that drew attention but they were all over the hill by the time they arrived. Ibrahimovic was really one of the only players to arrive somewhat close to his prime. Both Insigne and Bernadeschi are in their primes and should be playing high quality football in Europe. Their presence in the league can only help grow the game in NA. They are both clearly way too good for the MLS, but I also really don't mind that at all. It's fun watching talent like them get creative with the ball. That outside boot outswinging cross from Berna was a joke yesterday. You just don't see that stuff from your standard run of the mill MLS player.

Reactions: howlman and Pinto
Tough loss last night. Cool to see McNaughton score back in B.C, always love seeing CPL alumni contribute. Hopefully MAK's injury is not too serious, we could have really used him in MF.

That cross was so gross. Like not even fair

Must be said, stupid that it goes straight to penalties.

JJ and Ayo were both useless tonight.

Jimenez showed quality every now and then but over the past few games, its pretty clear that although he is good, you need a CF who can match Lorenzo + Bernas skillset. JJ is not that guy, but great option off the bench.

I like Oso but he should never take another penalty in his life. I hope Herdman took notes.
