What a difference an infusion of talent can make to the confidence of players. Bradley looked ten years younger. Only 4 Canadians starting, much more reasonable. Second half with the substitutes and youngsters on was a reminder of how much we need talent on the field. The three Italians were great. Osorio looked revitalized. We can do this.

I get why the DPs are subbed off here at the start of the 2nd half. Still would have been nice to see a few more minutes :)
I thought maybe a substitution at the 60th minute but I’m ok with the early sub. Game was over and no need to risk it.

Spoke with fans on the train back and some were pissed off. Guess they wanted bang for their buck for the first game they’d been to in a long time lol

I hated that they got subbed off at half. Hated it. They could have gotten 10 mins and then the fans would have given them a proper send off and thank you.

as much as the roster looked good at kick off I am now very worried about Kaye’s injury. what Other midfielders are there? you can see the drop off in quality between actual good players and our current youth with those subs. i Don’t get why we had to lose pozuelo.

Poz didn't really want to be here and at the time it looked like we would need one more DP spot to welcome in Bernardeschi. Salcedo's departure happened fast.

I like the flexibility it gives the team going forward too. Lot's of options for that final DP spot

Who are you thinking for the final DP spot?

The impact of our new DPs was instant and had a ripple effect on the entire team, as was evident in the fist half.

Good times ahead boys, and we still have another DP slot to fill.

First clean sheet of the season? Yikes.

If we can stay healthy , I don't see why we can't pull off something similar to Seattle's 2016 run.
We need a quality RB and another CB before I can be that optimistic.

Bradley Sr. was being extra cautious because we have a big game coming up on Tuesday in Vancouver to try and clinch a berth in Champion's League.

That is a good question. Don't know who specifically but someone with a box-to-box presence that can chip in with 7ish goals a season and is defensively responsible. Aaron Ramsey came to mind as a player that fits the role and is at an age where he could easily transition to MLS. Don't think Ramsey specifically is the answer, but someone of that profile and style of play.

With Mertens leaving Napoli, any way we can lure him on a similar type deal to Bale (i.e. not using a DP spot)?

He'd get lots of playing time and stay fresh for the World Cup while playing alongside his good buddy Insigne. We could then still go out and add another DP.

Always tempting to add more scoring but with two elite wingers and Jiminez/Akinola capable of 12-15 goals a year I don't know they get another forward. Insigne-Jiminez-Bernie is the best top 3 in the MLS with the LAFC guys.

IMO the rest of the money should go to CB/RB/Midfield before adding another forward. RCB/RB is just so weak it has to be addressed. We need a Drew Moor type of CB badly.

Suarez is being rumored with an MLS move. Doubt he comes up to Canada, but man that would be a fun front 3.

Amazing to see the lineup rolled out with the Italians in it. Hoping this brings out the best in Osorio too.

Great atmosphere in Vancouver tonight.

Vancouver first, Brian White. When keepers shuffle across i like to see them have their hands up, similar to hockey goalies... have your hands high... Header was well hit but maybe better hand positioning allows Bono to get fingertips to it.
