The province was willing to give an exemption for full capacity but Hamilton city council wanted no fans at all, and that is how we have ended up at 50%.

so Eustaqio just tested positive for COVID. That's 2 masive players who will be missing for canada this international window (Alphonso Davis being the other).

Not good.

IMO Eustaquio is a worse loss than Davies in the sense that we do not have another player in the pool that can come close to replicating what he does in our tactic.

However some noise that they are pushing hard to make him available for part of the window.

god i hope you're right. Canada is in a such a great spot now, but it could go pear shaped if this window doesn't bring at least one win.

So in effect you are sole sourcing a supposed Hamilton council decision of which no one else has any knowledge. I would be very upset at the lack of transparency and the lack of public health and community input if such a decision was indeed under consideration. Please tell me you are just joking and not throwing stones for the joy of it. I had 4 seats for the game to take family and I am more than dismayed while understanding that if necessary these decisions may need to be made.
 
Hopefully the weather is awful against the US. Nothing like a snow storm to level the playing field.

He will likely only miss the first game and play vs usa or just the final game, they delayed a roster announcement till today because of him.

I'll leave it at this since if I was you I also would be wary of trusting random man on the internet but I don't have any petty grudges against Hamilton city council/PHA. Nor do I think its an entirely unreasonable stance - while I personally would have no issue with full capacity I can understand the optics of hosting even a 12K person outdoor event while people can't even eat in a restaurant is not great.

The 50% is the compromise that they ended up with though. It is what it is...
