Even though this draft is not deep, I would not want my 2nd pick to beyond 20. Mrtka is a guy I would move up for.

Friedman says Bettman is not a fan of the decentralized draft. But he allowed it to happen because the clubs really wanted it. If it goes badly, they might go back to a the standard setup next year.

Really lame tbh.

Guess it is partially because they cant have as many people as they want and all of their tools available easily. But for me? That is kind of silly as such a big event that people are actually excited for.

Frondell is now at over 60% CF and xGF on the season.

And over 70% CF and xGF in 7/10 of his last 10 Allsvenskan games.

Eklund is actually pretty similar on the season.

1st and 2nd on the team in Corsi.
3rd and 4th on the team in xGF. (after Kruger and Thoresen.)

I still think there is a world in which we can draft Ryabkin and throw a haul at Montreal for Demidov. I'm not saying it would be easy, but there is a way, I'm absolutely sure of that.

He seems like one of the most realistic options for us if we end up in the 8-10 range tbh. Think Danny boy ends up taking him, Desnoyers or Mrtka.

It won't matter, but I can't help feeling like the relative difficulty of the Schaefer projection is being ignored. Everyone reading this is better at projecting high end Fs than Ds.

He very well might be the best prospect in the draft. That's a different discussion. How big is the gap? How sure are we? How sure can we be
