Always fun to watch Mc Jesus play .. should be a great test for Woll .. GLG .. glad it is a 7pm start .. thought it would be 930 .. good news
Against my better judgement I booked a golf simulator for tonight, need a night out. Have to watch when I get home.

I feel there is a strong chance you will not regret this decision.

So many things have to change from how the team has been playing for this to go our way.

Can they do it? Sure. Anything is possible.

You thought there would be a 9:30pm start? On a Saturday? I think that has happened 0 times in history; it would have been 10pm if anything. But the TV times are driven by # of viewers. 7pm is prime time, and the Leafs gather the most eyes.

Trying to speak to anyone west of Thunder Bay about game start times is like talking to a rock.

Anyway, I am happy they are all pissed off.

This will be a tough game. Edmonton drives play better than anyone and Toronto very clearly does not.....

Maybe Tavares/Knies will be the jolt we need to get the offence going

Seems like Dreger was wrong about JT's timeline. Both are in.

Wow, it seems like it’s been so long since we’ve had someone report an injury longer than it actually was

Felt like every day-to-day thing was weeks long but this is a nice change up

Don’t know why this came across my algorithm….but man….folks in Western Canada seem to get really bothered when the Leafs coming to town. LOL.

I don’t even know what to call this phenomenon…a one sided rivalry? To me, it’s like a like a toxic mix of hating Leafs fans, hating Toronto media, hockey rivalries, politics, the inability to accept Ontario’s dominance, racism and inferiority complexes all fused together into this torch of rage.

And it’s funny how this torch gets passed around too….mid 2000s and early 2010s, Vancouver held this torch….seems like over the past two years Edmonton has taken. Guess it depends what team is doing well at the moment? I don’t even know….I just find their mentality really weird.

Constant victimhood, constant whining….I lived in Calgary during school and anytime I mentioned I was from Toronto (well Waterloo, but I consider it GTA/Toronto), they’d start acting all defensive without knowing LOL.

“Oh did you know we have the tallest building west of Toronto in Canada”….I was like….okay? I didn’t even know that was a thing.

Also, I don’t know what they teach folks in Alberta about equalization payments, but they would bring it up every week. I used to keep quiet and not make a big fuss, but then I’d start replying snarkly about how Ontario has never taken any payments (only for a few years during the 09 recession). And I’d also point out how Canada’s history didn’t begin in 1950, and that prior to 1951…Ontario was being tasked to fund “have not” provinces like Alberta from 1905 onwards.

Like I said, the whole thing is just weird to me.

The Leafs/Habs…Toronto/Montreal….Ontario/Quebec….English/French rivalry makes sense to me. It’s rooted.

This I just don’t get at all.

Maybe Western Canada Leafs fans could help me out.

Day to day can be weeks long.

Anti Leafs sentiment has been on the decline since the North division. At that time there was a fear that the Leafs would be the team to end Canada’s cup drought. That no longer is the case for most people.
On a political level nothing has changed as far as the east/ west divide is concerned. The majority of federal elections are decided before our (bc) polls close and any ballots have been counted. That shouldn’t and doesn’t sit well with the majority. I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

Day to day just means out indefinitely, status can change on a daily basis. Nowhere does it imply that the injury is only a few days
