Need more of a sweetener to eat the last year of holl's contract. On top of that flyers are looking at a 3rd and 5th for the two players involved. Probably better off coming up with a prospect to equate value

Schenn is actually better than Dermott. His numbers are better, while being on a worse team, plus he's bigger and tougher, while getting paid almost 1/2 as much. Easy no from Van.

Yeah, maybe he ranks below Mayfield and above Braun.

I just think the Leafs are going to be a little gun-shy about trading the assets required to get Manson @ 50pct, knowing that even at 50pct, it will prevent them from adding forward depth / replacing Ritchie.

before this gets into a back and forth because a Van fan asks for Knies, Schenn's value is probably a 3rd. Schenn's value to the Canucks is a guy that plays well with Hughes and allows him to roam around the ice. At $850k for this season and next, I think the deal would need to be "something you can't refuse" - which would not make sense for the Leafs.

Doing things that don't make sense are what the leafs do best (foligno for a first lol).

I personally would take the 2nd, because the Canucks prospect pool is very weak so any draft capital or prospect capital is helpful, and the Canucks aren't a Schenn next season away from being a cup contender.

What a stupid post...Schenn has carved out a lengthy NHL career and has 2 Stanley Cup rings to ALSO show for it. The guy is a great fit in Vancouver and unless a team offers a 1st round pick you just DON'T trade Schenn this season, too valuable to the team!

"Unrealistic value" I have read this thread and basically all nucks fan are saying the value in the OP is reasonable, however due to what Schenn brings to our team it doesn't make sense. It's not like Canucks fans are asking for the moon they are just happy with the player they have and therefore dont really want to trade him. That is not "unrealistic value" it's a team need

they're kinda useful, midcareer D guys, like ~100 other established but easily-replaceable NHL D

to fill specific holes in their intend-to-contend lineup, maybe Leafs fans could try offering something that hurts a little to send out?

We will send somthing that hurts when the assets we are trying to aquire are actually worth that price. Braun and Schenn are 5 or 6 d men with limited value.

dude lets not get carried away now, the reason those guys are mentioned more often is because they are the expandable ones not because they are not worth anything, yes i know they are not worth that much, but isn't every other teams fans want to trade the scrubs from their team, and another reason you hear so much of them being mentioned is because just maybe leaf nation is biggest and has the most fans and the most rumours out there, prove me wrong dude.....
