The reality of the situation is that he was far and away the #1 UFA D-man. And 20+ teams would have been calling. The leafs got him for under market value, on a contract that will be too long. With the constant cap increase, this will not age as poorly as some of the haters here will have you think.

Honestly getting Raddysh isin't a bad move since they aren't rebuilding , but the fan reaction and hope they have is really cute , it's always funner to laugh at them in hindsight when they have hope.

It was boring when they were all down in the dumps and negative , much funner when they are delusional
All I know if I'm flyers and bruins I'm holding those 1st round picks tight so tight like put him in the vault at Fort Knox.

for all the he was a 30 point player before last season...
he was playing behind BOTH Hedman and Cernak on the 3rd pair, 30 points from a bottom D pair is ELITE!!
Leaf fans should be at least concerned that Raddysh played much better with Moser than anyone else.

I love it, Tuch next please, another 60 years in the wilderness would be exquisite.

To clarify you think the Leafs signing the top free agent dman and top free agent forward for nothing but cap space is a bad thing? When they have more cap space in the next few years than they can spend?

I think the bottom line is he gonna put at least plus 40 points and a plus 15 ? This is gonna be interesting for sure I'm gonna keep an eye.

The Leafs did something it is both the worst thing and clown move in all the history of the NHL!

Wonderful insight. Thank god we have your infinite knowledge of the situation?

Honestly, not a bad deal at all. A bit of an overpay but the market is going up for these UFAs. Toronto now has a RD of Raddysh, Tanev, and Carlo. Honestly, if they can replace Reilly and add some F depth, they're back to being a solid team

I wouldn’t be too excited about that pick with Bostons drafting lately 😂. Don’t worry, I’m sure Lysell, Poitras and Vaakaninen will be pitching in soon 😂

Exactly. As for the Flyers, Woll won't be the difference maker if he's on IR for most of the season.
