What did I say that wasn’t true?

If you are a Leafs fan you probably know the history better than I do. Committing to Tanev and Stolarz already looks iffy. Giving good money, term, and then counting on guys on the other side of 30 is not a great strategy in the modern NHL.
This literally is a deal for a top 2 dman that can play solid minutes on reg and pp. He had a solid point production last year, and prior he still played super good. With cap going up and rielly most likely traded, this isnt a bad pickup at all..... if it was a terrible deal id get it but this isnt eben close to bad lol

Why do some clubs win while others always seem to lose? This is one of those reasons. What the heck are the Leafs thinking?

Tanev outside of injuries has been perfectly fine....and if the injuries continue he is going to end up LTIR'd. No Leaf fan is worried about his contract lol awful example.

leafs dont have good D at all

like

they lack an offensive weapon on the point and basically have since bryan mccabe. it's been a huge issue

they have a first overall pick... a still pretty damn good offensive core but in order to succeed they need more puck moving D and raddysh was the best of everyone available via UFA

since they don't have their next 2 first rounders, they wanna retool as fast as possible

Gonna regret going long term on a guy with one breakout season at 30, Leafs..

But sure let’s give up stuff for the privilege of overpaying more!

Extremely Toronto move... It will probably be the only signing that is defined by how necessary it was that Toronto be the ones that make it.

Eight year contract sign and trade to pounce on a one season wonder who is going to be on the wrong side of 30 for basically the entire contract.

With Toronto and Florida likely back in the mix next season the Atlantic is going to be a nightmare again. I think it's going to be an active summer from every team in the Atlantic if they don't want to get left behind.

Just seems a little low, especially for a trade within the division.

I know he wasn’t going to re-sign but still, figured other teams might poke around and drive the price up
Raddysh is from TO and likely had this as a preferred destination. His father also passed recently so wouldn't be surprised if he wants to be with family more as well.
