Yeah, I'm going to listen to someone who has never watched Brodie tell me, who has watched Brodie his entire career, how good Brodie is.

Calling him a 2nd pairing d-man is about as stupid as something someone can say on this site.
 
Good deal for Toronto. Sad to see him leave the Flames.
 
Leafs actually filled two holes without overpaying today. I'm still not sold on him, but credit where credit's due, Dubas did well today.

Barrie is garbage......always was tbh. Pietrangelo would allow Morgan to be more aggressive and play to his strengths.

I do understand your point however, as the Leafs would have been foolish to hand out another massive contract.

As a flames fan I will miss Brodie. He is not physical but he uses body positioning well. The more minutes he plays the better he is. If you give him 17-19 minutes average he doesn’t play as well. He thrives on 22+ per night. He will fit in great with the Leafs. There is the odd bad gaffe here and there. His shot is also nothing to rave about. But a quality, quality puck mover. And he is best on his off side which is the right side. For Leafs fans if Keefe tries to play him on the left side then start a petition to put him back on the right side.

Kinda figured they’d go after him having interest last year. No idea he’d sign this cheap. I wanted tanev cause I thought Brodie would get 6+
 
Very private, quiet guy. Will be interesting to see how he handles Toronto media.

Will be missed on the Flames though!

Eats 20min a night against opposing teams top line, can play 2PP or PK. Great skater with okay puck handling so his game should age well. Should be a good guy to have next to Rielly.

Only thing is that hes prone to mental errors especially when moving the puck out of his own zone sometimes.
