Funny how we did amazing when he was out last year as well. That might’ve been the best stretch of hockey the Leafs played somehow

Last year Rielly was a bit sloppy himself and not at his best in the Reg season

This year he has 43 pts in 50 games, been above average defensively most of the time and has had big and clutch moments.

The team has been able to play very solid hockey since 2017 with its best players being down at times.

Even the stretch we have had since Woll went down is pretty impressive imo

Samsonov was not mentally ready for this year until like 6 games ago

Jones + defense stepped up huge. If we were a fake/pretender team like the Sens/Sabres we would have played .450/.500 hockey and dug ourselves an early grave.

Leafs are 16-10-4 since then which is .600 hockey without our at the time only option for an NHL goalie lol
