Dubas is having a great offseason so far with more to come
Hyman, Andersson, Bogosian would be exposed but would only be their rights. They could just resign with the leafs on July 1st.According to capfriendly, Sandin, Liljegren and Lehtonen are exempt.
Bogosian pending UFA would be exposed.
Leafs can choose 3 of Rielly, Brodie, Muzzin, Dermott and Holl to protect
for the love of god i hope you are right!Best thing about the D signings is that we will never have to watch Marincin play another game in the Leaf sweater![]()
Nice.
Hes not a major impact player, but gives the D a physical skillset that it needed more of. A better option than Marincin too.
Looks like someone may be on the way out though. That blueljne is getting crowded

Dubas and Keefe are really focusing on grit and defense to surround the core.
Brodie, Bogosian, Boyd, Anderson and Simmonds are go towards that.
The people saying the Leafs went too offensive focused should be happy, though, a lot of them are still complaining
I used to fear for poor Sandin's life. Guys running him at every chance.
Bogo will halt that sillyness
I’ve always liked Bogosian. He never lived up to his draft position and was overpaid for a while but I feel he’s a pretty decent defenseman that has a valuable skill set.
Maybe it's too early to speculate on something like this but could they be a pair together on the penalty kill?I could see some situations where Muzzin-Bogosian could be a better shut down option than Holl.
Bogosisan also signed for less compared to what he got in Tampa Bay. After Buffalo terminated his contract the Lightning signed him for $1.3 million AAV and tonight Dubas signs him for just $1 million AAV.
Less depth than Sandin has to claw through on the LS.Good pickup for the third pair. Nice to add some truculence around the edges instead of the Marincin's and the Malgin's of the world. I don't see Bogo as anything more than our 6th or 7th dman, but that's fine for a million bucks.
Really wonder what we're gonna do with Liljegren though. Lot of depth for him to claw through now.
Hope the intention here is #7 or matchup based rotation into the lineup, Bogosian isn't as good as the guy he would displace
