Agreed they're still valuable. But Toronto is very much in win now mode. I'm just saying giving up a 2022 1st doesn't seem to me to be that awful thing it seems to be for some people.

I know everyone is eager for the Leafs to get screwed here, but as an outsider would a 1st rounder be so awful? It's likely going to be in the mid to late 20s, and isn't this a weak draft?

The Leafs have been trading a lot of draft picks over the last while. I don't think most Leaf fans are completely against trading our 1st rounder but a lot of people would see Giordano as not being enough of an impact player to deal yet another high draft pick.

Amirov with his recent health issue isn't going to be traded. Hopefully he beats the tumor and gets healthy for himself first and foremost
