Hey Arizona, offersheet this!
(points at wang).
Good thing for him he has only played 2 full years. Yeesh!!that's a lot of money to never have scored 70 points in a season and has only played 82 games once in his career
Considering they didn’t buy any UFA years, this seems way to expensive.
So does Marner get 12?
Yea it's the term that's crazy. 11.634 is a little high for him maybe, but 5 years? He's going to be UFA at 26 and will get the maximum from somebody.
Remember when Matthews and Marner were gonna take discounts to play for Toronto?
Apparently Dubas thinks he is the Wolf on Wall Street. Money for you, money for you, money for everybody!
A Calder? Not exactly a Ross, Lindsay or Hart.He has a calder
still waiting for all these Leaf players to leave money on the table.....
reminder Rielly's great contract is gonna need a 100% raise in 3-years
can someone please explain why any of this matters other than lockout protection?
Teams hate giving out bonuses because its a huge chunk of cash at once. When they do agree to give bonuses in a contract they expect a discount. Toronto gave both bonuses and overpaid on Both Matthews and Nylanders contract.can someone please explain why any of this matters other than lockout protection?
I hope with all my heart and soul, that some reporter has the balls to ask Dubas "WTF are you comparing this to"
Gutless
Can you guys imagine what his next contract is going to be like?
Holy ****, 15 x 7 seems totally plausible. Woof.
In a sea of over-reaction, this post is a beacon of sanity. The Leafs time is now and they should do what it takes to win for the next 5 years and worry about roster issues after that.
Plus, it's not like they are going to have an issue moving guys if a cap crunch ever comes.
it's awesome actually
most teams giving their players 8 yrs are regretting it
5yrs $11m is perfect
People really, really need to stop comparing every forward contract to Pastrnak. His contract is amazing, not the normal.
