Good playmaker, very good vision, quicker than fast, terrible shot, soft as butter and can get pushed off the puck by a 14 years oldPanthers fans: what to expect from Malgin?
As for Marchment... don't expect much...
Like others pointed out, he is likely Johnsson's replacement. If you don't put him in position to score you are better off siting him out.

a) cap space for trade deadline move, b) opens space up for Tippett/Borg who are tremendously better, c) we would have lost Malgin on waivers; now we got a good AHL player to keep everyone happy down thereAfter reading through these posts I can get why the Leafs made this deal but why does Florida do this? Is it to clear a spot on the NHL roster?
All of our fourth liners have 1st round value.I thought that the leafs were forced to trade their 1st round pick

Hyman 2.0?
Was legit confused on why these two teams were making a trade given they are fighting for a playoff spot against each other, and have similar needs. So, a nothing minor leaguer trade makes sense. Although, I can see the Don Cherry truthers melting down on trading away grit for a small skill guy, even if the trade is probably just guys changing AHL affiliation.
Except for the reason for making this trade, to begin with, was the fact that Malgin would not have ended up in the AHL.Was legit confused on why these two teams were making a trade given they are fighting for a playoff spot against each other, and have similar needs.
