Samsonov struggled early in the season. He had a lights out performance the second half. Hershey also has a horrible defense.

Goalies especially have a difficult time transitioning to the smaller NA ice. Angles, distance, timing etc. everything changes.

I'd predict much improved to start next season, as was evident by his late season push.

Shane Starrett should be on this list. He was one of the best goalies in the AHL last season as a rookie and was great in college. He's a little older than a lot of these guys but still....

There's no standard rink in the KHL, so a successful goalie there must be able to cope with different ice sizes.

I’d have Starrett on there over Skinner at the moment as well.
