Good riddance.

Amazing talent (offensively) but the guy is an asshole.

Is it true that he created a burner account on Twitter where he defends himself, posing as a fan?

you mentioned a perceived pattern within 6 games and laughably justify management who has demonstrated a worse pattern beyond one player for over 6 games.

No.

You got it wrong, again.

The pattern refers to the career of ADA, not 6 games.

please don’t. Keep him over in Europe. This group may bench him or put him in Hartford where he’ll escape back to Europe without anybody knowing why he left.
Not now! Even if he was ready keep him away from this brewing pot of acid. But soon! Make way!

I doubt it.

Guys have been traded for despite doing MUCH worse. Dany Heatley straight up was responsible for the death of a teammate.

One bad thing that happens away from the team isn't worse than someone who is a constant headache in the locker room, from a management perspective. There are definitely players that have done worse things than ADA, but with Tony the issue is quantity and it happens too often on the team itself. Professionalism is the issue here.

So a screenshot of a random, unknown person commenting on youtube?

Not proof, sorry.

My dad is a camera man for the Oilers and overheard McDavid requesting a trade to the Rangers.

Doesn't make it true.

Best to just wait until Brooks gives us the full story.
Carpiniello has confirmed from 3 sources an altercation happened. Secondly, this is not a court of law where we need "proof". Post was up last night, he is waived today. That is enough for people to think there is something to the information of the fight last night.

This thread is Italian enough already whatsamattawityou

I think saying Quinn has been abysmal is a bit far. He's done some shit to annoy me too, but the guys who carried the team last year have been mostly terrible until a game or two ago, and even despite that the team has played well enough to win most of the games that they ended up losing

His top 6 being bad isn't on him, but he's still made shitty decisions which have led to losses.

Playing JJ earlier in the week vs Buffalo and starting Georgiev yesterday are both decisions which had a negative impact on both games. Everything that has happened is NOT his fault, but he is contributing to the shittyness of their current situation.

You're not doing this, but I don't understand why there is an uproar over making an observation over what is actually happening.

Very true. From what I remember Heatly made a HUGE mistake, but was not a constant problem.

I doubt they didn't recieve at leat a 2nd round pick offer. We woukd shit on them for accepting though. Retrospective thinking is a bitch.
Point being that whatever the return we could have got for him, it was never going to be high value comparative to Tony's talents. So we lost out on a chance to get a 2nd round pick (or something equivalent most likely). I am not going to lose sleep over that fact.

it was edited though. He could have just commented "hahaha Rangers suck" last night and then saw an opportunity once the fight rumors started to make the rounds to stir the pot some more

Yikes. Just when you think we had good management they pull this.

Unless we find out he punched a baby after the game yesterday, this is just an inexcusable move to not even trade him, we could have gotten something in return for him. Really have no words for this. Cancel culture wins again...

Satire or worse?

Once again, Quinn is a moron for Starting Geo to begin with.

DeAngelo shouldn't have attacked him and chances are he would have gone off on someone else somewhere along the way but it was a stupid decision that led to losing more than just the game.

This is so moronic. The same could have happened with Igor...

Why did we need to give him a $4.8mil x 2 contract then? If he has no trade value and nobody wants him, you'd think we could get him for cheaper.
He was an RFA with arbitration rights and no other options at RD. Maybe they were hoping to wait it out. Maybe if Tony could replicate his season, another team would want to take a chance on him. Trade value does not dictate contract terms even the slightest bit.

This isn’t the same though. And that’s not to excuse the horrible shit that is allowed in sports.

It’s one thing to be a problem off the ice. It’s another thing when the biggest issue you bring in to the team. He’s clearly a problem with the team and it’s not just one thing.

players can survive being hard to coach. Or having issues with teammates. Or creating headaches for the front office with dumb social media stuff. Or having your brother shit post on Twitter about your upcoming contract.

but if you’re all of that, eventually you wear people out. And the last thing a team full of guys who are reeling right now needs is a guy who always stirs the pot. That shit gets old.
