This guy is 25 and is still acting the same way he did when he was 15.

He'll never get it and he has no one to blame but himself.

From the Rangers perspective, they obviously blew it not trading him earlier but I do wonder how much interest there even was in this guy. If the offers weren't there, the Rangers would get killed for shipping him out for a low return. His history and baggage is no secret to anyone paying even slight attention. This is the exact reason why you could never commit to him long term because an incident like this could happen any given day with how big of a hot head he is.

So Tony gets into a fight with his teammate after the game and people respond with "If Quinn hadn't started Georgiev there wouldn't have been a problem at all!" I can't with this board anymore. I just can't.
That is how you can tell a lie only saying truths.

As someone who was a goalie, don’t call me out after I let in a bad goal. Especially a game winning goal where I feel like shit for letting my team down.

You have to be a real asshole to do that. Teammates need to have each other’s backs.

To me, this is the most important point to be made.

There is a HUGE disconnect between TDAs perceived trade value on this board and his actual trade value around the league.

if the Rangers received any decent offer over the off season they would have accepted it.

Tony’s baggage outweighs his game right now. He was worn out his welcome every where he has been.

Everyone talking about how the rangers should have traded him when they had the chance in the offseason. Has anyone considered that they tried and simply no one wanted a cancerous head case in their locker room irrespective of his talent?

No, its clear that DeAngelo has anger issues.

But it was a dumb decision that ended up morphing into an even bigger issue. Quinn has been abysmal this season independent of the DeAngelo shit, this is just another log to throw onto the fire.
I think saying Quinn has been abysmal is a bit far. He's done some shit to annoy me too, but the guys who carried the team last year have been mostly terrible until a game or two ago, and even despite that the team has played well enough to win most of the games that they ended up losing

I doubt it.

Guys have been traded for despite doing MUCH worse. Dany Heatley straight up was responsible for the death of a teammate.

so if ada clears waivers and then is sent to hartford ...then is he paid his full salary but it does not count against the cap?

I doubt they didn't recieve at leat a 2nd round pick offer. We woukd shit on them for accepting though. Retrospective thinking is a bitch.

Why did we need to give him a $4.8mil x 2 contract then? If he has no trade value and nobody wants him, you'd think we could get him for cheaper.
