Something must bug you. You say Tampa discarded a gem, maybe they didn't like the attitude at 18/19. Again, totally expendable to Tampa, they are stacked and were back then.
I said Tippett stagnated the entire Yotes roster at some point. Not ADA per se. He who had 39 games with the Yotes and is at 62 with us. 62 games, 20 points. We're the team that is actually giving him a shot here.
I don't know what you want, but everything is fine actually. We ended up with the kid and he'll play.

He doesn't have to show anything to prove he's a better player than Pionk. He already has.
There has to be some off-ice issue with DeAngelo that causes him to be a healthy scratch almost half the season

I still don't understand why it's always got to be about Pionk vs. DeAngelo. On a rebuilding team there is room for both. And when Pionk is healthy he will come back in. There is no doubt about that. And if DeAngelo continues playing well someone else will come out.

i think theyre constantly compared because of them both being RHD, and the fact that theyve both played with marc staal. to me it isnt one or the other, if i wanted them both there would be room. im just not sold on pionk as anything really. not a fan of him, just so happens im a huge fan of deangelo.
If we want to get back on the tank go back to staal pionk. An abysmal pairing.

Yeah no this isn't something that needs to be worried about. People will still come to games at the same rate once Zucc and Hayes are gone. Rangers will still sellout pretty much every game.

We’ve seen plenty of our defensemen pinch all year and end up leaving their partner out to dry. Staal, for example, has been doing it a lot this year. The issue is that our forwards haven’t been consistently covering for our d-men when they pinch, and they should.
In regards to ADA, I haven’t seen him do this too often, although he has done it. And when he does, he needs to know that 1) A forward is covering for him and 2) Play it safe (but not too safe). Pinch, but don’t go too deep (in most cases), especially if no one is covering for him. And if there’s a good chance he can lose the puck, he needs to go back immediately.
I haven't heard anything, so if there is, it's not out there. A few months before Pionk was signed, I posted that he'd be the most important signing the Rangers made that off-season. Six months before ADA was acquired, I said the same thing. But to be quite honest, they're playing for the same minutes.
I know it's an asset type that the Rangers were actively pursuing, but you really just need one of the two.
ADA is a lot more competitive, crisper passer and net front defender. Pionk is a better puck rusher, pp quaterback. Both have different defensive weaknesses. ADA is neutral zone defense, rush defense, and poor pinches. ADA is weaker on the boards, and in front of the net. Neither are shot blockers.
Except they haven't been selling out according to ESPN. It's by a small margin, but enough so MSG couldn't find a way to make the gap go away. Right now, I doubt that's an issue for management, but if they don't manage to build enough enthusiasm for the rebuild and the players who are going to be around for it, it will become a problem in the future.

Who was talking about that? The conversation was about selling out MSG. Trading Zuccarello won't do anything to make that better and, almost certainly, will make it worse.
Are they always right, no? Frequently they do have some insight that we the fans do not. The fact that DeAngelo has been scratched for so many games point to something like that.
It is also far easier to decide that Quinn finally saw the light of day and saw things your way rather than decide that just maybe ADA finally did what Quinn needed him to do.
